Pendant Lighting at Pale Meridian

A pendant light sets the tone of a room from above. Hung low over a dining table, it pools light where people gather; in a hallway or bedroom, it softens the whole space.

Our Japandi pendant lighting is made from natural, tactile materials: rice paper, linen, hand-woven rattan and travertine stone. Choose the Woven Rattan Dome Pendant for a warm, textured glow, the Wabi-Sabi Tiered Linen Pendant Chandelier as a quiet statement over a dining table, or the Travertine Cylinder Pendant Light for a sculptural stone accent. The Stone Cylinder Bedside Pendant is sized to hang either side of a bed in place of table lamps.

As a guide, choose a shade roughly half to two-thirds the width of your dining table and hang it about 75cm above the surface. Most pendants are hard-wired, so we recommend a qualified electrician. Fitting type and dimensions are shown on every product page.

What bulb do these take?
Each product page lists its own bulb and base. Most pieces take a standard E27 or E14 bulb, and bulbs are sold separately unless the page says one is included. A warm-white bulb, around 2700K, gives the softest light.
Are these plug-in or hard-wired?
It depends on the piece, and every product page shows its own fitting. Floor and table lamps are usually plug-in or rechargeable. Pendants are usually hard-wired, and we recommend a qualified electrician fits them.
How often do new pieces arrive?
Slowly and on purpose. We add one piece at a time, only when it gives the kind of light we want to sell. The newsletter is the easiest way to hear about them.
