Pale Meridian ("we", "us") operates palemeridianhome.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. We are the data controller for the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

When you place an order we collect your name, email address, delivery and billing address, phone number (if provided), and payment details. Payments are processed securely by Shopify Payments and our payment providers — we never see or store your full card number. When you browse the site we collect limited device and usage information (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) through cookies and similar technologies. If you join our newsletter we store your email address.

How we use it

We use your information to fulfil and deliver orders, process payments and refunds, respond to enquiries, send service messages about your order, and — only where you have opted in — send occasional marketing emails. We also use aggregated, non-identifying analytics to understand how the site is used and to improve it.

Legal bases

We process your data to perform our contract with you (fulfilling orders), to comply with legal obligations (tax and accounting records), with your consent (marketing emails, non-essential cookies), and for our legitimate interests (site security, fraud prevention, improving our range).

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers who help us run the store: Shopify (our ecommerce platform), payment processors, delivery carriers, and our suppliers and fulfilment partners (name and delivery address only, so orders can be dispatched to you). Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses. We never sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for six years to meet UK tax and accounting requirements. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained in aggregate form.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the link in any email. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
