Terms of Service
The terms that apply to using our store and placing an order. This is a draft placeholder to be finalised and legally reviewed before launch.
Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 July 2026
These terms apply to all orders placed on palemeridianhome.com, operated by Pale Meridian, a UK-based business. By placing an order you agree to these terms. Nothing in them affects your statutory rights as a UK consumer.
Orders and contract
Your order is an offer to purchase. A contract is formed when we send you a dispatch confirmation. We may decline or cancel an order where a product is unavailable, where there is an obvious pricing or description error, or where we cannot verify payment — in which case you will be refunded in full.
Prices and payment
All prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are shown clearly before you confirm your order. Payment is taken securely at checkout through our payment providers.
Delivery
We deliver across the UK. Estimated delivery dates vary by piece and are shown before checkout. Delivery estimates are given in good faith but are not guaranteed dates. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
Cancellations and returns
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason, and a further 14 days to return them. On top of this, we accept returns within 30 days of delivery for unused, undamaged items in their original packaging. Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days of receiving the return. Return postage is your responsibility unless the item is faulty or was sent in error. See our Returns & Refunds page for how to start a return.
Faulty goods
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality. If anything arrives damaged or faulty, contact us with a photo within 48 hours of delivery and we will repair, replace, or refund it. This does not limit your statutory rights.
Electrical products
Our lighting is intended for domestic indoor use unless stated otherwise. Hard-wired fittings should be installed by a qualified electrician. Always follow the instructions supplied with the product and use bulbs within the stated maximum wattage.
Liability
We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was made, or that were not caused by our breach. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
General
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales (or, where you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, the laws of that part of the UK), and disputes may be brought in the courts of the part of the UK in which you live. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. For any question about these terms, contact us via our contact page.
